2016 Phil Manning Memorial Quiz

2016 Phil Manning Memorial Quiz Up – UPDATE

Dear Quizzers

Another one has come and gone.

I had 80 entries -15 all correct – and a lot of you scored 99, falling down on other routine answers.

My two main posers were No’s 74 (The Palace of Westminster- watch the numbers next time) and 99 (Twickenham Stoop – Harlequins home ground).

There were some interesting thoughts on No.7 (Tufnell Park-I love my cricket) as some of you supported-presumably – Phil Collins at the Cadogan Hall, and even the Duke of Edinburgh in Regents Park.

No.56. My answer was Limehouse, but I allowed Plumstead, and

No.73. i wanted Cyprus, but allowed Garden in view of the other DLR station I had not realised existed.

Cheques are in the post to our lucky winners :-

Roger Cook of Dover
Mrs M Gill of Hythe
Claire Stainer of Borough Green.
Consolation fivers go to Chris Chantler of Bath, Mr. T O’Brien of Capel-le-Ferne, and Marion O’Hara of Woodnesborough.

I wish you all a happy and-hopefully- sunny summer (in or out of the EU) and will challenge you again next February, in a year which celebrates the Lions Centenary.

Our Club is always looking out for new members, and any offers of help at the Donkey Derby on August 13th will be most welcome.
You can always contact me on 01303 279303 any time.

Regards to you all

Bill.

Does anyone know how to open and print this quiz as with 2 pages together only the left hand side prints ?

What program are you printing from? I tried it from adobe reader, selected landscape, turned on double sided (flip on short edge) and it printed off OK for me.

Hi – Yes using Adobe reader but seems my HP Printer does not support “double sided” printing – previous years the quiz has been on 4 separate pages which are easily printed ?

My printer is the same. Print only page one then flip the paper over and put it back in the paper tray and print page two.
