A great bunch of people
Folkestone Lions Club was formed in 4th December 1969 and, over the past 40 years, has raised more than £275,000 for local, national and international charities.
Our members come from all walks of life
The majority of our work is directed towards meeting the needs of our local community, whether those are the needs of local individuals, community groups or charities but we do also rise to the challenge at a national or international level when disasters like the Boxing Day Tsunami or the Haitian earthquake strike.
We're a great bunch of characters and each of us bring different skills, expertise and experience to the mix in the club. We don't spend all our time on our charity work, though, there's a great social life as well, so the club is a great way to meet new friends.
We're always looking for people who share the same interest as we do in working for the benefit of the local community and would love to hear from you if you'd like to find out a little more about becoming a Lion. Just contact our Membership Chairman Philip Martin on 01303 894312 for an informal chat.
